It's been a journey since day 1 of Occupy San Diego, but OSD Gardens survived and is thriving despite police raids, marches, and all other kinds of disturbances. We planted these seeds on Oct 7th, the first night of our urban camping protest. The seeds sprouted a week later on the night of the first police raid, and we had to move them to my front yard for a few days until I could find a new home for them. Luckily, the gardeners at City College, some of whom are Occupiers, donated a space in their newly expanded gardens for OSD to grow edible plants! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to OSD's gardening effort. The response has beed positive and widespread. I encourage you all to plants seeds at home and bring the transplants to the garden. Soon we will have a meal using the veggies we've grown!

Tuesday 9am-12noon-meet at the Civic Center 8:30am
Thursday 9am-12noon-meet at the Civic Center 8:30am
Saturday-12 noon-teach-in by Elle of Suzie's Gardens-focus on mobile gardening systems.
